Green Glitter Gradient

Hello Beauties!

Happy Sunday! Sorry for my absence yesterday. There was just so much to do after a week of being sick, that I didn't have time to write a blogpost. Today I have to show you a beautiful fall manicure that I first intended to wear as an accent nail only but ended up doing on all my nails.

The green polish I used as a base is 210 from trend IT UP. It is from the same line as the apricot polish I swatched for you a few days ago. See the post here. And yes it is very smelly too! I really love the green colour with a hint of blue, but I guess I will not be using it anymore. I can not stand the smell.
It was however the perfect base to create a glitter gradient on. First I added a little bit of Holographic Pearls and then went over it with p2 - start wild!.
I really loved the look of this combination a lot and felt like doing a full glitter manicure.

And here is the result. It reminds me a bit of Christmas with all that sparkle, but I think it also looks great for fall.

I wish you all a happy Sunday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and take care!

Hope you like this glitter gradient. Would you wear it in autumn?

kiko - Pearly Red & Fall Stamping

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Friday my lovely readers! I hope you are well and had a good start into the new season. I am feeling much better today too and am almost back to normal. So today I want to show you a manicure I created last friday and wore until Wednesday. I usually don't wear my manis that long, but this one was so pretty and I didn't feel like playing around with polish anyway. I guess another reason that it lastet this long is that I was too weak to use my hands for anything else than reading or handeling the remote controle... :-)
But before I go into details to the finished manicure let me take you there step by step and show you swatches of my base colour first. This is kiko - Pearly Red (492).
Pearly Red is not really a red polish. In my opinion it is a wonderful and intense orange (leaning towards vermilion) crelly polish, with lots of micro flakies in it. I find it quite hard to describe, but as you can see it is very sparkly and shiny. The colour is perfect for fall.
The formula of Pearly Red is fantastic. The first coat is quite transparent, but with the second coat it is opaque. The polish applies smoothly and spreads evenly. There was hardly any clean up to do.

I then used a make-up sponge to apply kiko - Vino Perlato (493) to the tips of my nails and create a gradient with it.
Vino Perlato is very similar to Pearly Red only in a deep red tone. This colour is amazing and I have to show it to you another time by itself.
To get an even finish I applied a layer of Seche Vite over my gradient.

I then used a black stamping polish and the heart design from the plate shown above to stamp on all of my nails. I tried to place the center of the design randomly across my nails to give the design a more natural look. The hearts remind me a bit of leaves.

To finish this manicure I applied another layer of top coat to my nails and added a small clear rhinestone to the center of my stamping.
I love this look. The gradient and the design go so well together and the clear rhinestones add a little brightness to the manicure. After taking the pictures I did add another coat of Seche Vite to seal in my stones too.
I wish you a very happy weekend and hope you like my fall design. Do you like the colours for this season?

Born Pretty Store - Holographic Dark Purple

Hello Sweeties!

I am finally feeling better and hope you had a good week so far. Today I want to show you another Holographic polish from Born Pretty Store. I bought the whole set of 12 recently.
This is #11, the darker one of the two purple shades in the collection. I love this polish. It is so wonderfully sparkly and shimmery. With two coats it is perfectly opaque. I had no trouble at all applying it even though the brush is pretty small, but the formula is great.
The holo effect does show best in the pictures that I took with a flash, but in real life the best results were shown under direct sunligh. So here are some more pics for you:

On my ringfinger I am wearing an accent I kept on from my pansies manicure I showed you a while back.
And I even included a close up to show you how magical this polish looks. You can clearly see a rainbow on your nail when you wear this beauty.
Can you tell I am deeply in love with holo polishes? :-)

How do you like this polish? Do you like holos in general?

claire's - Runway & flormar - Atomic Bomb

Hello Beauties!

I am still feeling a bit under the weather and find it hard to concentrate, but hopefully this will be another blogpost you can enjoy reading. Today I want to show you claire's - Runway, from my Berlin Shopping Spree. There are so many gorgeous polishes there. I still find it hard to choose wich one to swatch next...
Runway is a dark purple creme polish with a blueish, pearly shimmer and a slightly metallic finish. My camera always has trouble catching dark purple colours right so unfortunately in the pictures the polish looks a bit more blue and less purple than it actually is.
The formula of Runway is pretty good. It applied smoothly and spread evenly. For full opacity it required two thin coats. I did also use a topcoat for these swatches.

Even though I really like the colour I felt the need to add some extra sparkles and applied a layer of flormar Genius Glitter - Atomic Bomb (GG06) to my middle- and ringfinger.
Atomic Bomb is an amazing glitter polish. It is packed with tiny round and some small hexagonal iridescent silver glitter pieces and also contains some square glitter that instantly catches your attention. If you are looking for a lovely glitter for a special occasion I would definitely recommend this one. I love it!
And look how dense it is with only one coat! No extra dabbing needed.
If you love a good glitter polish try getting your hands on to this beauty. You won't regret it!

How do you like todays manicure? Are you a fan of glitter accent nails?

p2 - Color Victim - be my guy

Hello Sweeties!

Please excuse that todays post is going to be a bit shorter. I caught a cold and had a fever last night and so I am not feeling too good this morning. Today I want to share with you a real beauty from p2. This is be my guy (333) from their Color Victim line.
I love those polishes so much! The 8mL bottles are sold for €1,55 and always come in seasonal colours. They have great formulas. In fact I never came across one with a bad formula.
Be my guy is a dark sapphire blue leaning towards navy blue creme polish with silver microglitter in it. Now that I look at it in the pictures I think it would make a greate base colour for a galaxy manicure. It already remings me of a nightsky full of twinkling stars.
The formula is once more excellent and didn't require any cleanup. With two coats be my guy was perfectly opaque and they both applied evenly. And look how sparkly it is in direct sunlight! I am so glad I bought this polish in my Berlin haul!

As an accent I layered over Revlon - Holographic Pearls on my ringfinger and thumb.
How do you like this blue polish?
