St. Patricksday Clover

Hello Beauties!

It still is "green week" on my blog and therefore I want to show you another St. Patricksday design today. A four-leaf clover accent nail. This is my second post for today because I thought a Shamrock for good luck couldn't hurt on Friday the 13th... ;-)

I started by painting my nails with NYX - Alaskan Wild and NYX - White. Alaskan Wild is a dark green creme polish. It is a bit sheer so I needed three coats for opacity. The formula is good and easy to spread.

To create the clover, you could just paint four little hearts and a stem, but I used four light green glitter hearts instead and added a bit of Alaskan Wild to them. This makes the leaves more even. (I was never good at painting hearts. They always get bigger on one side...) Using a lighter green (NYX - Pure Green) I made some highlights in the middle. With a dottingtool I painted the stem.

To make it a bit more sparkly, I added Sinful Colors - Call You Later (932) on top of the dark green Alaskan Wild. Call You Later is a light green glitter polish. I only used one coat, because the glitter density is very high.

With essence - The Most Wonderful Tree from the Come To Town Christmas Collection I added some iridescent sparkle to my nails to make it look like a vernal wildflower meadow from afar.

I think this is such a cute and simple manicure. If you are not great with free hand painting, you can just use green glitter hearts for this, like I did.

How do you like my clover? What are you going to wear for St. Patricksday?

p2 - go crazy! & Heart Jelly Sandwich Valentines Day Manicure #13

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Friday! Today I want to show you #13 of my Valentines Day Mani ideas.
For this manicure I used p2 Lost In Glitter - go crazy! on all my fingers except for the ringfinger. This glitterpolish has a bright pink jelly base that's packed with different sized pink, purple and silver glitter. I used a base coat, two layers of go crazy! and a top coat for this manicure. Application of go crazy! was very easy. It was opaque in two coats and dried quite fast.
For my accent nail I started off with a white base using one coat of china glaze - White On White. Then I applied one coat of the tinted OPI topcoat - Be Magentale With Me and added some red and blue hearts. Once that was dry I applied another layer of the sheer pink and put on some more hearts. Finally I used a third layer of Be Magentale With Me and topped it off with Seche Vite.

Unfortunatelly the pink polish started bubbling so I guess it was not dry enough. But nevertheless I am happy with this manicure! I like the way the glitter hearts shine through the pink. The blue is no longer blue, and the red is not that bright. It fits! They seem to float in the polish.
How do you like this manicure? Is this something you would like to wear?

Mavala - Glasgow & Pink Rhinestone Valentine Heart #9

Hello everybody!

And Happy Monday! :-D I hope you all had a great weekend and are prepared for the week ahead. Today I want to shate with you another Valentines Day themed manicure. This is #9:
I started this manicure with MAVALA Glasgow, wich is a metallic pearly white sheer creme polish with a silvery finish. The application was easy due to the good formula of this polish. But the brush was a bit too small for a metallic polish. Hence a lot of vilible brushstrokes. I used two coats of Glasgow for these pictures. If you want this polish to be fully opaque, you would probably have to use 3-4 coats though. But I did not mind the VNL in this case.
As an accent I put on a heart of different coloured rhinestones on my ringfinger. I used rosé, baby pink, lilac and magenta stones for this heart. I then topped it all off with Seche Vite to seal the rhinestones in and to get rid of at least some of Glasgows brushstrokes.

I am happy with the way this simple manicure turned out. It is very easy to do and adds a little Valentines Day feeling to your nails. Perfect! :-D

How do you like this manicure? Is this something you'd consider trying?

Valentines Day Manicure #6 - Hearts on RdL dreamland

Hi beauties!

Todays Valentine Manicure is a little heart design that I did on Rival de Loop - dreamland.
I started off with a coat of china glaze - Techno on my middlefinger and some white hearts (china glaze - White On White) on my other fingers.
On my pinkie I added some Mavala - Liverpool in the middle of the white hearts. On my ringfinger I used LOOK by Bipa duochrome green-purple as well as on the indexfinger. Here I added a little bit of pink first.

I should have stopped at that point, But I thought that I needed a bit more for this manicure. So I added some polkadots on my index- and pinkiefinger using MAVALA - Liverpool.

I am not very happy with this manicure. I think it is too much. Only the herats would have been fine. I don't know. I will however give the hearts another chance and try something similar again.

What do you think of this design?

essence - girls night out & Valentines Design #4

Hello everyone!

For todays Valentines Manicure I have something with hearts to share with you.
I started using tow coats of essence colour & go - girls night out, wich is a very bright pink/magenta creme polish with a silvery, pearl-like shimmer. Application was easy and I had no cleaning up to do. I just love the wide flat brushes that come with essence polishes.

Girls night out dried fast and to a glossy finish and I started my design with adding some golden glitter hearts to each finger. I really like it that way and you might stop at this point and seal it in with topcoat.

But I was feeling adventurous that day and added a few rhinestones as a french tip to my ringfinger. I used rosé, pink and purple ones.

And then I went crazy and put on some more! A green and orange heart plus one rhinestone to all my other fingers.

As I said before, I could have stopped at any time to get a cute Valentines Day Manicure, but I am quite happy I didn't. I like the way this turned out. Girls night out is a very pretty polish that I would wear on it's own too. I usually am not the type to wear plain pink polish, but this one I could make an exception for!

How do you like this design? Do you like to wear pink nailpolish?
