Advanced Stamping - Tulips on silver bling

Hello Lovelies!

Today I want to show you a post I recently did using advanced stamping. As a base for this manicure I used Ruby Kisses - Silver Bling. On most of my nails I stamped on different black flower motives, but unfortunately most parts didn't transfer well. At first I wasn't sure if I should share this with you at all, but I like the accent nail so much I decided to go through with it.
To create a decal like the one below is actually quite easy. All you have to do is pick up your desired design on a stamper and let it dry for a minute. Then you can carefully fill it with colour and let it dry completely (approximately 30 mins.). If you already know how you want to place it and are sure you have good aim place it directly on your nail (dry to the touch but still a bit tacky!).
If you are like me and fear you won't get it straight, cover the whole stamper with a thin layer of clear polish and let that dry for an hour or so. Then carefully pull it off the stamper and you'll end up with a round decal. Place it on your nailand gently press down until it sticks. then use your nail or a cuticle pusher to trim off the excess.
Remove any remaining polish from the sides and the tip and seal it in with clear polish. It is a bit time consuming, especially if you want to do a full manicure with this technique, but I think it is worth the while and you can always do this on multiple stampers at once.
If you don't have a stamper you can try to do it tike this: nail decal.
I hope you like my tulips! I know I love them! Have you already mastered the advanced stamping technique?

Ruby Kisses - Silver Bling

Hello Beauties!

Today I want to show you Silver Bling from Ruby Kisses that I bought a while back in this huge haul. I have used it before in one of my July 4th manicures, but since it is such a gorgeous polish I thought it deserved a blogpost all on its own.
Silver Bling (RNP 112) is a silver metallic polish with a liquid foil finish. It is actually quite hard to take decent pictures of it. When you get too far away it easily blurres and when you're too close it almost looks like a mirror when the flash reflects.
The formula of this polish is fantastic. It applies smoothly and is almost opaque in one single coat even though I usually apply very thin layers. To get that foil like finish I applied two coats. Silver Bling dries very fast and has an even texture even though it looks like it is a bit gritty.
In my opinion Silver Bling is the perfect name for this wonderful polish. I could not describe it any better. If you are looking for a go to silver polish this should be it!

July 4th Manicures pt.4

Hello Lovelies!

I just wrote this post, posted anotherone and boom it was gone... I am sorry that there are only pictures for now. I just don't have any more time to rewrite it all again. I have absolutely no clue what happened! Frustrating.

Have a wonderful Independence Day!

July 4th Manicures pt.3

Hello Lovelies!

How are you today? I hope you are all enjoying this wonderful Saturday. Today is the big day, the 4th of July and I have my final two manicures to share with you. The first one is an easy one with different glitter stars.
I started with one coat of Ruby Kisses - Silver Bling to give the colours some extra shine and one coat of Wet 'n Wild - French White Creme on my middlefinger to give the silver better coverage. The red is essie - Russian Roulette and the blue is Ruby Kisses - Blue Pearl. I only added one very thin coat here so the silver can shine through. I think this looks gorgeous on its own. You could leave it at that.
I bought all these polishes (except for the white one) in my huge polish haul a few weeks back.

And then I just added some glitter stars to my manicure. With the silver ones that I used on the blue, I tried to make straight lines to represent the stripes in the flag. I didn't think about that when I did the others, but it is a great way to make stars & stripes happening on your nails all at once!

Some of these stars are really big and I have a relatively distinct C-curve so they don't lie flat on my nails. It is important to seal them in very well, or you might loose the stars. But be careful with your topcoat. Bubbles may form with all these edges. I decided not to use a thick topcoat like Seche Vite but a more liquid one.

I really love how easy it is to do a design with just a little glitter. Everyone can get creative like this! I hope you like it too!

Stay tuned for my final 4th of July manicure!

Stamping on Ruby Kisses - Twinkling Mauve

Hello Beauties!

Oh my, where did that day go... Time went by so quickly. So here is an evening post for you today and I want to do a quick one, since it is pretty late.
Using my Nailfun stamping polish in black I did a little flower design on Ruby Kisses - Twinkling Mauve.

Since Twinkling Mauve is pretty shiny and metallic it is pretty hard to see the whole design on the pictures very well si I decided to show it to you also on my plain nail. I used the Konad stampingplate m82. This flower and butterfly design is on the bottom of the plate.

To add a bit more colour I placed one dot of essence brit-tea - Green Tea For Two into the center of each flower.
I am pretty happy with the way this manicure turned out. I still have to work a bit on my aim to make it a bit more even on all my nails, but I really think it looks cute. Especially the little butterfly.

What do you think about this manicure? Do you like my stamped flowers?

Ruby Kisses - Twinkling Mauve

Hello Beauties!

Happy Sunday to you! Today I want to show you another one of my new Ruby Kisses polishes. This is Twinkling Mauve (RNP109).

You probably guessed by the name, that this is a mauve coloured polish. :-D But there are lots of other details to this polish that I want to share with you today.
Twinkling Mauve is a creme metallic polish with an excellent formula. I applied two coats on topcoat  for full opacity and sealed it in with Seche Vite. The whole manicure took me only about 15 minutes and there was no clean up to do at all. The polish went on so smoothly and evenly and simply was a dream to apply.
And the colour is so beautiful. It is a sparkling bronzy, rosy mauve with tiny golden flecks in it. I love it and I can tell you that I have nothing like it in my huge collection. I usually am not the biggest fan of metallic polishes, but this one is quite different. It is simply gorgeous.
I was a bit annoyed, when I discovered a small piece of polish was chipped off on my right thumbnail only a few hours after I polished my nails. I was baking a cake and was quite busy that day with cleaning the house and other stuff. but that was too short. I was not ready to give up un this polish so I decided to patch it up. I dipped on some polish on the plain edge and let it dry a bit, Then I blended it in with a thin layer and fixed it up with topcoat. If you don't know I did some extra work there, you would never see it!
I painted them Wednesday afternoon and am still wearing them now (Sunday late morning). There only is minor tipwear and I will be wearing them throughout the day without hiding my hands. I am really impressed how long this polish lasts. I only paid €1,99 for this bottle and it lasts way longer than some €10.- or  €15.- polishes do. I love it!
And the best thing about this polish is, that it goes well with any colour. I have been wearing different shades of blue, khaki, purple, white, antique pink and beige as well as apricot and bordeaux and it lookes amazing with everything. Maybe a bright red would be a no go, but I haven't tried that.

How do you like the colour? Isn't it pretty?

Huge Polish Haul

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Did you do something special with your Mom? I made another shopping trip last week and found a few neat bargains, that I simply could not resist. Furthermore a few polishes I ordered online finally arrived and I decided to show all of them to you at once. Here we go:
These ANNY polishes were half price off. I guess they are from last season, but I don't care about that too much. I wear what I like on my nails, when I feel like it.
ready to go - little mountain cat - mountain resort - dancing in the rain
Misslyn: smoothie nail polish - kiwi bomb & mini - lilac poison.
Another essence - the gel nail polish: girl's best friend (43) (see my others here.)
NYX: Louscious Green - Fame - Purple Ink

I also got a few more of the Ruby Kisses polishes that I only recently discovered in a local drugstore. And guess what, they were on sale for only €1.99!
Sunflower - Solid Copper - Blue Pearl - Silver Bling - Campaigned Out - All Purpled Out

And here are my online purchases: First up is a brand I've never heard of: Lindalac. It doesn't say much on the bottle, but you can tell it is a brand from Spain. They don't have names.
313 - 18 - 317
And another spanish brand: Yes Love. I bought a pack of 6 glitter polishes for about €1.- each. Also no names just numbers. They go from G13-1 to G13-6 in the order below. (left to right)
And now here comes my favourite: I found a box of essie polishes for €40.- on ebay. It contained 9 regular polishes and 6 mini polishes. One colour came in regular & mini and I will include one of them in my next giveaway! Follow my blog to find out more on that! :-D Now let me show you what we have here: The essie summer mini kit 2014
haute in the heat - ruufles & feathers - roarrrrange
full steamahead - Leading Lady - Beyond Cozy
LOVE IT!
