b.pretty - inchromnia

Hello Lovelies!

A few days ago, before my green week for St. Patricks Day started, I posted my b.pretty chrome collection. Today I want to show you one of these polishes. This is inchromnia. Given that it is almost 2 AM and I can't sleep, this might be the perfect post to write right now! :-D
Inchromnia reminds me of platinum with a golden touch. It is a shimmery matte metallic polish with a great formula that is easy to apply. It leaves hardly any brushstrokes and is opaque in two coats.

In these outdoor pictures the colour appears a bit colder and reminds me more of steel. I really like the finish of this polish a lot. Depending on the lighting it has this cold chrome look or a warmer golden touch.
I will definitely be wearing it again. It is suitable for everyday but pretty enough to be festive. With a little accent you can wear it for any occasion!

How do you like this polish? Are you a fan of the chrome finish?

LOOK by BIPA Nail Quickie - Beige

Hi everyone!

For my second post today I want to show you this LOOK by BIPA Nail Quickie. I got this during my Christmas Shopping spree. See the haul here.
Beige has a beautiful golden shimmer to it and is an elegant nude colour. It is definetely work appropriate and can be worn every day. But in my opinion this could also go with a festive robe.
The formula of this Nail Quickie is very good. I used two coats to reach full opacity and it dried very fast. For these swatches I did not use a base or top coat.

How do you like this polish? Isn't it a wonderful nude?

claire's - Grey Day

Hi everyone!

Today I want to show you claire's - Grey Day from my Christmas Shopping trip. It is a glitterpolish with a clear base and square, dark-grey glitterparticles in it. It is very easy to apply and the glitter density is good. For all pictures below I only used one coat of Grey Day with some additional dabbing here and there to cover bald spots. I did not use a topcoat.
First I have GD over 2k beauty's - Teal.

Second is GD over LOOK by BIPA - beige. (I will link back to the swatches once they're up.)
(Update: did that! :-D)

And last but not least is GD over a matte pink polish from claire's you can see here. Of course it is no longer matte after using a topcoat.

I like this glitter topper quite a lot and am glad that I picked it up while I was out shopping for Christmas Presents (see my haul here). It is a unique glitter polish to my collection. I have nothing alse that can be compared to it.
I do think that it looks beautiful on all these colours.

Do you have a favourite combination? How do you like this glitter polish? Do you own any square glitters?

LOOK by BIPA special effect - metallic hollogram

Hello everyone!

I will be out of town for a few days to attend a funeral, but I have scheduled posts for the next days and hope you will stop by!
Today I want to show you this LOOK by BIPA special effect nailpolish by the name metallic hollogram. Judging by the name I first thought this would be a holo polish, but it is not.
Metallic hollogram is a golden brown metallic (almost foil) polish with a hint of red, blue and green sparkles in direct sunlight. It is a very sheer polish. I painted one coat on one nail and knew that it would take at least 4 coats to reach opacity. So I decided to take it off and use one coat of LOOK by BIPA nail quickies - beige as a base. The formula of metallic hollogram is easy to work with and required very little cleanup. I was happy with the result after two coats.

Above: outdoors without flash. Below: indoors with flash or under LED light.
I find it very hard to describe the colour of this polish. First it seems to be a brown with a golden shimmer. But depending on the light metallic hollogram seems to be a bronzy gold with hardly any brown. I don't know... I can tell you it is not a duochrome though. Regardless of my difficulties to find the right words here, I really like this polish a lot and will wear this again soon.

How do you like metallic hollogram? Is this a polish you'd like to get your hands on (or on your hands? :-D)

b.pretty - Nail Art Box

Hello everyone!

Today I want to show you this Nail Art Box from b.pretty that I recently got while I did some Christmas Shopping.
It contains a nail file, two wooden sticks, three nail glitters and 4 polishes. And I only paid about €4,50.

It would make a great gift! But this one's for myself :-)
The polishes are called Pink, Silver, Pearl and the 4th one is a Top Coat
The glitters don`t have any name or number on them. There is silver, white and pink.
They are all iridesscent.
I put on Pearl on my indexfinger, Silver on my middlefinger and Pink on my ringfinger. They all where opaque in two coats and went on smoothly with hardly any cleanup necessary.
As you would have expected the Pearl had a soft shimmer and a pearl finish. The Silver is metallic. There are some visible brushstrokes, but I think it is still ok. The Pink is also what you'd expect. A bright shiny pink. What I really liked was the finish of this polish. It is not that glossy as your usual polish, but not yet matte.

I then put on some topcoat at the tips and dipped them into the glitters.
Index - Middle - Ring: Silver - Pink - White.

To smooth everything out, I put on a layer of topcoat. The white glitter unfortunatelly lost the contrast to the pink base, but I still like the result. Without the topcoat it looked too much like a hedgehog. There where spikes in all directions.
I really like this Nail Art Box. You can mix and match anyway you like. And for the price the quality and formula of this polishes is very good!

What do you think of this box? Do you like the colours?
