Mavala - Glasgow & Pink Rhinestone Valentine Heart #9

Hello everybody!

And Happy Monday! :-D I hope you all had a great weekend and are prepared for the week ahead. Today I want to shate with you another Valentines Day themed manicure. This is #9:
I started this manicure with MAVALA Glasgow, wich is a metallic pearly white sheer creme polish with a silvery finish. The application was easy due to the good formula of this polish. But the brush was a bit too small for a metallic polish. Hence a lot of vilible brushstrokes. I used two coats of Glasgow for these pictures. If you want this polish to be fully opaque, you would probably have to use 3-4 coats though. But I did not mind the VNL in this case.
As an accent I put on a heart of different coloured rhinestones on my ringfinger. I used rosé, baby pink, lilac and magenta stones for this heart. I then topped it all off with Seche Vite to seal the rhinestones in and to get rid of at least some of Glasgows brushstrokes.

I am happy with the way this simple manicure turned out. It is very easy to do and adds a little Valentines Day feeling to your nails. Perfect! :-D

How do you like this manicure? Is this something you'd consider trying?

OPI - Pink It Through - Valentines Day Manicure #5

Hello Beauties!

For todays Valentines manicure I did a simple dotted french-style manicure.
I started off with two coats of OPI - Pink It Through. Pink It Through is a baby pink creme polish with a good formula. The first coat went on a bit streaky, but that leveled out nicely with the second one. It also dried pretty quick and to a glossy finish. One could wear this polish for Valentines on it's own, but as you might know by now, this is not my kind of colour.
So I picked up my dotting tool and made a line of polka dots on the tip of my nails. For this I used Mavala - London, wich is a bright red polish. For this design you have to try to make the dots as even as possible. I made them a bit smaller at the edges to create some depth. On my left hand this design looks pretty good, but I am still a little shaky when it comes to do details on my right hand. So as you can imagine it did not look all that well... :-(

Nevertheless I put on some sparkle using china glaze - Fairy Dust on my ringfinger. Recently I am a huge fan of this polish. With all the iridescent microglitter it adds WOW to every manicure!

I really like how this turned out and will be trying something like this in the future.

How do you like this design for Valentines? Is this something you might wear?

Mavala - Liverpool & Polkadots for Valentines Day (#1)

Hello everyone!

As I said before I am planning to do a little Valentine-Design series from 1st to 14th of February and this is going to be number 1!
For todays Valentines Day Manicure (#1) I chose a simple one. I think it is amazing what you can get with so little. A few dots and some glitter and you have a great manicure.
I'll show you step by step wich polishes I used.
As my base colour I used MALAVA - Liverpool, wich is a light grey creme polish. It was opaque in two coats and very easy to apply.
Next I took a dotting tool to create red polkadots on my ringfinger and thumb. You can use any red you like. I used Maybelline New York - Forever Strong - Cherry Sin (501).

For this manicure I tried to make the dots even, but if you prefer you can do them irregular.
If you are happy with the way this looks you can apply a topcoat to seal it in, or you can put on some glitter like I did for some sparkle. I would recommend using a polish with microglitter, so your dots will not get covered, but if you like junky glitters better take them instead. Use whatever you like best!
First I only applied china glaze - Fairy Dust to my dotted nails (above) but then I decided to do it on all my fingers (below).
I was lucky to catch some sunlight to show you the beautiful sparkle this manicure has.

I am quite happy with the way this turned out. I think the combination of grey, red and some glitter is very pretty and totally wearable for Valentines Day!

How do you like this combo?
