Rival de Loop - GEL-like perfect Look - pastel look

Hello Loves!

I wish you all a wonderful start into this new month! Today I want to show you pastel look (02) form the Rival de Loop perfect Look GEL-like line, that I purchased in Berlin while on vacation.
Pastel look is a peachy pastel creme polish with a very glossy finish and a spectacular formula. It was super easy to apply and required absolutely no clean-up. With two coats it is perfectly opaque.
I do like the colour and I bet it will also make a great base to do nailart on or to stamp over. It is a polish you can wear year round in many different combinations.
How do you like pastel look? Is it something you would wear?

essence - brit-tea LE - Have A Beau-Tea-Full Day

Hello Lovelies!

And Happy Saturday. It has been an incredible busy week for me and I totally forgot to schedule some posts for you. Here comes a late night post today. I want to show you essence Have A Beau-Tea-Full Day from the new brit-tea LE that I only bought recently. (See the full haul.)
Have A Beau-Tea-Full Day is quite similar to Green Tea For Two from the same LE. It has a satin matte finish with a soft shimmer and is quite sheer so you will need at least three coats for opacity.
The formula on green Tea For Two was a bit better though. With the pastel blue one I had a few problems applying the second coat. It did not dry that fast and therefore caused some balding. It did level out with the third coat though so it was okay.
I really like this colour for spring and will definitely wear this polish again. In direct sunlight it appears to be a mint colour. I would say that in this case the indoor pictures with a flash (all above) show the actual colour best.

Have you tried any of these Limited Edition polishes? How do you like pastels for spring?

essence - brit-tea - Green Tea For Two

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you all had a great weekend and are prepared for the week ahead. Today I want to show you a polish from my latest drugstore haul. This is essence - Green Tea For Two from the new brit-tea Limited Edition.
Green Tea For Two is a pastel green sheer creme polish with a soft shimmer. The formula is excellent and really easy to apply. It dries quickly and has a soft velvet matte finish.
I only used two coats of the polish first, wich you can see in the indoor pictures. There is still a VNL so I decided to put on a third layer for the outdoor pictures.

With three coats the polish was perfectly opaque and the velvet matte finish stood out even better. What I am missing in the outdoor pictures is the soft pearly shimmer of this polish. You have to zoom in and look closely to see it.

I like this colour a lot for spring and the finish is so pretty. Unfortunatelly the pictures don't do this polish justice. You should see for yourself! :-D

Have you tried a polish from this collection yet?

Catrice - LE Cruise Couture - 01 Hi, Society!

Hello Lovelies!

A few days ago I posted my new catrice polishes on the blog (here). Today I want to show you the swatches of my favourite polish of the Cruise Couture LE.
This is Hi, Society!. A pastel apricot creme polish with a soft shimmer. I really loved this colour when I first saw it in the bottle and I still love it on my nails. It is a perfect pastel shade for spring and probably all year round. I guess it would even look better with a darker skintone or a little tan.

Application was a bit tricky though, because I got a faulty bottle with no brush in it... Have never seen something like this before, but I guess there is a first for everything! I used the brush of an empty clear polish to apply the polish to my nails and found the consistency a bit too thick, but I will try adding some polish thinner for next time. The first coat went on a bit streaky, but the second one leveled it out okay.

I just realised, that in these direct sunlight pictures Hi, Society! is looking totally streaky. I don't know where this is coming from, because in nature it did look just fine and even.

It is too bad about the defective bottle. I think they look so cute with the naval themed cap. But since it is not possible to use it that way, I had to fill it into an empty bottle. I will be using it again anyway!

How do you like this polish? Any preference on wich one of this collection I should swatch next?

Catrice - Limited Edition - Cruise Couture

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to start into this new week. I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Nowruz (the persian new year) with my finacées family.
Today I want to show you this lovely Limited Edition by Catrice, that I recently bought online. It is called Cruise Couture and has been released in May 2012. I know that was a while ago, but I purchased it anyway. First I really like the design of the bottle caps. That looks so cute! And second I think that a few of these pastel shades are totally trendy again this season.
Now lets get to the colours. I haven't had time to do swatches yet, but here is a closer look to the single bottles:
C01 - Hi, Society! is a pastel apricot. I think I will wear thisone first.

C02 - Jetsetter is a pinkish coral.

C03 - Welcome to Pink Tropez is a luscious bright pink. I'm not quite sure it will look good on me, but let's wait and see! :-D

C04 - Feel the Yacht Beat is a light blue that I really like a lot for this season too.

C05 - Nautica is a slightly darker, medium blue polish.

I hope to have time to put them on soon to share with you! Have you picked any favourites so far? I think mine is the first one. Hi, Society! is so appealing to me right now and totally fitting for spring.

s-he stylezone - 310 & essence - party in a bottle

Hello Beauties!

Green week is almost over and I am so happy about the beautiful entries from my lovely guest bloggers for my St. Patricks Day competition! There is still a bit time left for you to enter! (INFO)
Today I want to show you a manicure I'd like to call an ombre glitter gradient:

But first let me show you the pastel green I used as a base for this manicure. This is three coats of s-he stylezone - 310. This polish has a good formula and is quite easy to apply. You only have to give the layers enough time to dry to avoid balding. I was to quick with my second layer and smudged it a little bit, so I had to apply a third layer to cover that up. Otherwise it would have been opaque in two coats.

And the colour is really pretty too. This pastel green has a wonderful shimmer that you can best see in the bottleshot below. The flash brought that out even better than sunlight. At least in the pictures. In nature the shimmer is visible in any lighting.

I then used essence - party in a bottle to create my ombre glitter gradient. On my thumb I only used a very thin coat of party in a bottle and added a little more glitter to each following nail. On my pinkie I used two coats plus some additional dabbing to cover the whole nail.
Party in a bottle is a teal glitter polish packed with small and very small hexagonal sparkling pieces of glitter. It has a very high glitter density.

I really am quite happy with how this turned out. I don't know how to describe this manicure other than an ombre glitter gradient. Is there another name for this kind of manicure? Let me know! :-D

How do you like thisone? Have you enjoyed my green week so far? Still one more day to go!

Please check out all the lovely manicures posted by my guest bloggers and vote for your favourite one on google+!
