Flamethrower

Hello Beauties!

It is still very hot here in Munich so I thought I'd do a manicure inspired by the current heatwave. I call it the Flamethrower.
I started this manicure with a coat of p2 - Color Victim - start me up (625). It is a jelly polish so I layered it over two coats of Wet 'n Wild - French White Creme to get good coverage.

I love this sunny yellow so much, but I would not wear it on its own with my skintone. It makes me look even paler than I already am. But otherwise it is a wonderful polish with a great formula.

Using the same yellow, its orange equivalent p2 - Color Victim - running hot (629) and Wet 'n Wild - Red Red I sponged on a gradient and topped t off with china glaze - Fairy Dust for a sparkling finish.

Ince that was dry I used Wet 'n Wild - Black Creme to outline my flames with a fine nail art brush and filled in the spaces with a dotting tool.
To even out any bumps I topped it off with a layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat. I am not completely satisfied with the result. Some flames look a little bit strange (especially my thumb), but it was my first attempt and you know what they say: Training makes perfect!
Here is a quick look at all the polishes and tools I used for this manicure. Except for my dotting tool. I totally forgot to include it in this picture...
I really love the gradient I made for this manicure. Have you noticed, that I am totally into sponging and any kind of gradient lately?
It looks warm and summery. The flames are very cute, but due to a lack of freehand painting skills the execution is faulty, but bearable or in this case wearable. :-D

How do you like my flamethrower?
I wish you all a very happy weekend. Enjoy the summer while it lasts!
